We are Parents Actively Lending Support (PALS) group through the Francis Howell School District. We are the parent led organization that organizes fun events for early childhood children 0-5 years of age in our district.
Mission Statement
Parents Actively Lending Support is a social network for families with young children (birth to five years), and a support organization for Francis Howell Parents As Teachers, and Preschool teachers, students and patrons.
Vision Statement
The vision of PALS is to provide social opportunities for families with young children; these opportunities will enrich and enhance the early childhood programs offered by the Francis Howell School District.
Guiding Principles
Collaboration, community building, respect for every family, fostering home-school relationships and raise funds for families experiencing hardships.
Eligibility
Any family with a child(ren) ages 0-5 (pre-kindergarten) that resides within the Francis Howell School District, or with a child(ren) enrolled in a Francis Howell School District early childhood program and interested in promoting the mission of this organization.
Cost
$20 for the family for the year
$10 for the family if joining after January
Meetings
Member meetings are open to all
Meetings are held every other month in the evening
Events (Schedule available on website/Facebook page):
-Member only Monthly Events for parents and kids during the school year. (Some events still require payment from the place they are being held, but PALS gets a discounted price. There are also free events for members)
-Monthly Fundraisers during the school year
-2-3 Adult only events to get to know PALS parents with kids of similar ages
Benefits
-Crayon of the first letter of first name of each participating child
-Birthday Postcard from PALS mailed to your child!
-Access to monthly events
-Discounts on Spooktacular and Bunny Bonanza Tickets
-End of year popsicle event
-Snacks and a craft included at every event
-Money helps family in need for the Hardship Scholarship Fund
